Collaborative Project - Comparative Biogeography and Conservation of Philippine Vertebrates

This collaborative project between the University of Kansas – Biodiversity Institute and the Biodiversity Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources aims to:  (i) Enhance conservation efforts through intensive information campaigns and production and distribution of field guides and books on certain Philippine vertebrates, (ii) Intensify phylogeographic, phylogenetic, and other conservation genetic studies of Philippine amphibians and reptiles, (iii) Provide a synthetic summary of the conservation status of all Philippine amphibians and reptiles, (iv) Promote sustainable resource use and conservation of Philippine wildlife, and (v) Provide recommendations to address threats to Philippine wildlife.
