MOU on the conservation and management of Dugongs and their habitats throughout their range

The Memorandum of Understanding on the Conservation and Management of Dugongs (Dugong dugon) and their Habitats throughout their Range (Dugong MOU) is a CMS instrument which aims to promote and ensure the long-term survival of Dugongs and their seagrass habitats.

Commitments:
Activities under the MOU will be guided by a Conservation and Management Plan (CMP) which aims to enhance community based stewardship at key sites, encourage environmentally sustainable practices, increase availability of critical knowledge for conservation, and mainstream dugong and seagrass conservation priorities into national and regional policies and planning.
